School Rules & Procedures
Attendance
The student is expected to attend the class as per the published schedule. Students should make all efforts to not skip the class. If the student cannot attend a class for reasons other than emergencies, no substitute classes will be provided. Classes not held due to inclement weather are not subject for substitution.
Schedule
Carnatic Vidyalaya operates on a monthly schedule and students usually attend 6 classes per month. The monthly schedule for the next month is published during the last week of the current month. The schedule is emailed out to the registered email address of the parent. Any questions regarding the schedule must be addressed prior to the start of the month.
Parents / Guardians
Parents and family visitors are not allowed in the class during class hours. This is to help your child stay focused on the class. Feel free to schedule an appointment to discuss any concerns. Parent discussions are held by appointment Monday through Friday, either between 3:30 to 4:00 PM EST or 7:00 to 7:30 PM EST.
Fees
Class Fees will be charged on the 2nd of each month through automated credit card debit. Please make sure that the credit card information on file is current and valid. If the credit card needs to be changed for any reason, it must be done before the 1st of the month. If the credit card is declined for any reason, a new card must be updated by the 3rd of the month. Class Fees unpaid by the 5th of the month will be charged with Late Fees.
Termination
Parents deciding to terminate classes must give a one month notice prior to the termination date. If the stipulated notice cannot be given, then a one month fee will be substituted for the notice period.
Student Pick-Up
Since classes occur back-to-back, it will not be possible to monitor or take care of children after the scheduled class is over. Please ensure that your child is dropped off and picked up during your schedule time only. Please be prompt in picking up your child after the class is over.
Photography / Videography
From time to time your child’s photograph and/or video recording may be uploaded to the Carnatic Vidyalaya website or Facebook page as part of event updates.
Dress Code
Since there are children of varying ages in the class, it is important that the students wear appropriate attire when present at the school. Please apply the same importance to this as you would apply to your child’s regular school dress code.
Waiver & Release of Liability
In consideration of the risk of injury while participating in Music school (the “Activity”), and as consideration
for the right to participate in the Activity, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns
or personal representatives, knowingly and voluntarily enter into this waiver and release of liability and
hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind whatsoever arising of liability of my
participation in the Activity, and do hereby release and forever discharge Carnatic Vidyalaya, located at
11705 Jones Bridge Road, Suite C102, Johns Creek, Georgia, 30005, their affiliates, managers, members,
agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers, heirs, representatives, predecessors, successors and assigns, for any
physical or psychological injury, including but not limited to illness, damage, economical or emotional loss,
that I may suffer as a direct result of my participation in the aforementioned Activity, including traveling to
and from an event related to this Activity.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Carnatic Vidyalaya against any and all claims, suits or actions of
any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my
behalf, including attorney’s fees and any related costs, if litigation arises pursuant to any claims made by
me or by anyone else acting on my behalf. If Carnatic Vidyalaya incurs any of these types of expenses, I
agree to reimburse Carnatic Vidyalaya.
I acknowledge that Carnatic Vidyalaya and their directors, officers, volunteers, representatives and agents
are not responsible for errors, omissions, acts of failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific
event or activity on behalf of Carnatic Vidyalaya.
I acknowledge that I have carefully read this “waiver and release” and fully understand that it is a release
of liability. I expressly agree to release and discharge Carnatic Vidyalaya and all of its affiliates, managers,
members, agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers, heirs, representatives, predecessors, successors and
assigns, from any and all claims or causes of action and I agree to voluntarily give up or waive any right
that I otherwise have to bring a legal action against Carnatic Vidyalaya for personal injury or property
damage. To the extent that statute or case does not prohibit release for negligence, this release is also for
negligence on the part of Carnatic Vidyalaya, its agents and employees.
In the event that I should require medical care or treatment, I agree to be financially responsible for any
costs incurred as a result of such treatment. I am aware and understand that I should carry my own health
insurance.
